  • Do you print Pantone colors and do you color match?
We do not color match. If PANTONE color is on the artwork it must be in Pantone C(coated) not Pantone U(uncoated). We do not add the pantone color to the design. Our printers print in CMYK. Our production team will convert PANTONE color to CMYK color as closest as possible. If design is in CMYK we will follow the CMYK color code.
  • How long do these flag banners and regular rectangular flags last?
The feather flag and teardrop flag banners are estimated to last anywhere between 4 to 12 months. Regular rectangular flags last anywhere between 3 to 8 months. One way we recommend extending the durability of your flag is by taking it inside from time to time. Too much exposure to the sun or the elements can wear down the quality of the flag faster than our estimated time frame.
  • What material is the flag banner made out of?
The feather banner is made from a lightweight, 4 oz/110g polyester fabric.
  • Is the single sided option for flag banners mirrored or print through?
If you select a single-sided feather flag banner please be aware that it is duplex printed rather than duplicated on the back side. This means that someone will be able to see your printed design from the other side but the design and the text will be mirrored. To have the same message on the back side of the sign, and have it appear on both sides, you will need to select the double-sided option for your banner.
  • Can your flag banners be double sided?
Yes. We offer double sided flag banners for an additional cost. Please see the next question for details and design considerations for our double-sided option.
  • For double sided flag banners, can I do different images on the front and back?
Yes. You can either design your banner so that both sides are the same or both sides are different. Please be aware when a diffrent color is chosen for each side one of the sides will be stitched over. This means on the stitched hemming (typically about half an inch) the other sides color will be shown.
  • Will exposure to sun fade the banner?
Although we use UV resistant ink on our fabrics if the banner is placed in direct sunlight, the banner will end up fading over time. Though, this will require a prolonged period of direct sunlight. In almost all cases this shouldn’t be a concern over the short or medium term.
  • Will my banner become faded or worn over time?
Your banner can become faded or worn if placed in direct sunlight for an extended period much like any other printed material or if the banner material is in frequent contact with an abrasive surface. Like with most fabric materials, using them repeatedly will cause wear and tear over time. Life span of the flag banner varies depending on weather conditions but typically we see them last from 6 to 12 months
  • Will the wind be able to blow my flag banner away?
Strong winds can cause the banner to be blown over, even when placed in the ground. Using a weighted base for x-base hardware will help prevent this but, strong winds can still bend or damage the flagpole. The height of the flag is also a factor in its resistance to the wind. A larger flag is more likely to be blown over in high winds. Typically our flag banners can resist winds up to 30 mph. We recommend that you take down or not use the flag, regardless of size, in any conditions which may contain high winds or other inclement weather.
  • If I print my banner in more than one color am I charged more?
We print all of our banners in full color, which means that no matter how many colors you choose to include in your design, it will not increase the cost of your order.
  • Will my design cover the entire flag or just a portion of it?
The design of your banner will cover most of the flag.
  • Are your banners fire resistant?
Though highly resistant to heat, when polyester comes in contact with flames it will melt and burn. We caution against placing the banner near an open flame or sparks.
  • Do I have to use one of your templates for my banner?
Yes, if using your own design, you must use our templates. You can download the templates from our website (located on each product page) or you can have one of our designers design your flag banner for you.
  • How do I best care for my banner?
Caring for your feather banner requires little effort as long as you properly store the banner when not in use. Though the flagpole and banner are both durable, we strongly recommend storing it indoors during heavy wind storms to protect it from being damaged. You can clean the banner with a damp cloth and some water to help remove any dirt or other build up. These banners can also be washed by hand using cold water. If you do decide to hand wash your flag, make sure to only air dry the banner. Do not place it in a tumble dryer. For more detailed cleaning instructions read the "Can I clean my polyester flag?" section. If you display your banner outdoors, it is best that you bring it inside when not in use (like after store hours). Protecting it from rubbing against an abrasive surface is also important in caring for your banner. Making sure that you do not display it in inclement weather or very windy conditions (no winds greater than 30mph). Extreme weather or high winds can permanently damage your feather banner. We recommend you take it down if this type of weather is imminent. If you decide to store the banner for an extended period of time, we suggest keeping it in a protective case and off of the ground to avoid accidental damage.
  • Can I clean my polyester flag?
Yes, you can clean your flag. You can follow the cleaning guide below. What you need to clean a polyester flag: - Laundry detergent - Cold water - Sink or basin - Dry towel 1. First you need to choose your detergent. Polyester is a nice fabric since it doesn't fade or shrink much when washing. Although the weather can take it's toll on the colors or condition of the polyester, the goal is to keep the flag in the best condition possible. Any laundry detergent free of bleach will do the job. 2. Fill a sink or basin with cold water. Cold water will ensure the brightest possible colors. Add enough detergent for a small load of laundry to the cold water and submerse your polyester flag into it. Be careful not to squeeze or twist the flag. This could cause it to tear, especially if you've had it for a while. 3. Let your polyester flag soak. That's right, let the fabric absorb the soap and water. Soaking the flag will help to release the natural elements embedded in the polyester. Do this for about twenty minutes or so. 4. Wash the flag. Using your hands, gently lift the polyester flag in and out of the water for a few minutes. This method of gentle agitation is the safest way of washing your priceless symbol. You can delicately swish the flag around in the sink, but do not squeeze or twist. 5. Rinse the flag. Drain the water and soap from the sink or basin. Turn on the cold water and run it over the polyester flag until all soap suds are gone and the water runs clear. With your hands, push the flag flat to the bottom of the sink to help remove soap and water in the meantime. 6. Dry your flag. Take a dry towel and lay it out flat. Lay your polyester flag on top of the towel. Roll the towel up with the flag on the inside. Without twisting, squeeze the towel with your hands to get most of the moisture out of the polyester. 7. Hang your polyester flag. Now that the flag is as dry as you can get it, hang it up. Until the flag is completely dry you are going to hang it inside and away from heat. The elements of nature do enough damage to fabric, but they can do even more if your flag is wet. Heat naturally causes shrinking and fading. So wait until the flag is dry, then put it out to show your pride.
