  • How does the ordering process work?
After you have placed your order, one of our designers will contact you via the email address you have provided on the order. You may reply to the designer with any ideas, artwork, or general descriptions of the design you want on your flag. The types of art files that work best for us are vector files, such as, AI, PDF, SVG and EPS. In some cases, we can work with large, high resolution JPEG and PNG images as well. Your designer will then draft a proof of your design. They will continue to create proofs to make sure you are satisfied with the design before sending it to print. We encourage you to make any changes or suggestions during this time. Your order includes up to three rounds of proofing for free. Following that, we’ll charge at a flat rate of $25.00 for each additional round of proofing(non-refundable). Once you’ve finalized the design of your choice, our production team will proceed with the printing process if payment was made previously on our site. If “Pay After Design is Finalized” was selected then the designer will send you a payment link for payment. Once payment is received then your order will be sent to production. Production time is typically around 5-8 business days and then it ships (check the main page of our website for real time production times) or if “local pickup” was selected you will be able to pick up your order in our office. Some delays may occur in case of inclement weather or holidays. Production orders are dispatched every other day, prior to 2:00 PM Central Time. Should an order be completed subsequent to the dispatch of the current production batch, it will commence production during the following scheduled production cycle. Orders ship immediately after it is finished. Upon completion, the system or the designer will contact you again to notify you that the flag is complete and to give you a tracking number for your shipment or will notify you to pick up in our office.
  • What if I want to see the design before paying for this order?
We understand, so we have given you the option to do so! Be sure to check the “Manual Payment” box before submitting your order. Your designer will send a payment link to your email address requesting for payment once you have come to a decision on your final design. Although we are willing to create your design proof before you pay for it, please keep in mind that we will not proceed with the production of your flag until we have received full payment for your order.
  • How long do these flag banners and regular rectangular flags last?
The feather flag and teardrop flag banners are estimated to last anywhere between 4 to 12 months. Regular rectangular flags last anywhere between 3 to 8 months. One way we recommend extending the durability of your flag is by taking it inside from time to time. Too much exposure to the sun or the elements can wear down the quality of the flag faster than our estimated time frame.
  • What material is the flag banner made out of?
The feather banner is made from a lightweight, 4 oz/110g polyester material.
  • Is the single sided option for flag banners mirrored or print through?
If you select a single-sided feather flag banner please be aware that it is print-through rather than duplicated on the back side. This means that someone will be able to see your printed design from the other side but the design and the text will be mirrored and faded. To have the same message on the back side of the sign, and have it appear on both sides, you will need to select the double-sided option for your banner.
  • Can your flag banners be double sided?
Yes. We offer double sided flag banners for an additional cost. Please see the next question for details and design considerations for our double-sided option.
  • For double sided flag banners, can I do different images on the front and back?
Yes. You can either design your banner so that both sides are the same or both sides are different. Please be aware when a diffrent color is chosen for each side one of the sides will be stitched over. This means on the stitched hemming (typically about half an inch) the other sides color will be shown.
  • What is the water bag? Can it be filled with sand?
The water bag is a donut-shaped weight that can be inflated using water. This weight is used with the x-base in order to increase stability. We would recommend using just water to allow for easy emptying of the bag and subsequent transport.
  • Will exposure to sun fade the banner?
If the banner is placed in direct sunlight, the banner will end up fading over time. Though, this will require a prolonged period of direct sunlight. In almost all cases this shouldn’t be a concern over the short or medium term.
  • Will my banner become faded or worn over time?
Your banner can become faded or worn if placed in direct sunlight for an extended period much like any other printed material or if the banner material is in frequent contact with an abrasive surface. Like with most fabric materials, using them repeatedly will cause wear and tear over time. Life span of the flag banner varies depending on weather conditions but typically we see them last from 6 to 12 months
  • Will the wind be able to blow my flag banner away?
Strong winds can cause the banner to be blown over, even when placed in the ground. Using a weighted base will help prevent this but, strong winds can still bend or damage the flag pole. The height of the flag is also a factor in its resistance to the wind. A larger flag is more likely to be blown over in high winds. Typically our flag banners can resist winds up to 30 mph. We recommend that you take down or not use the flag, regardless of size, in any conditions which may contain high winds or other inclement weather.
  • If I print my banner in more than one color am I charged more?
We print all of our banners in full color, which means that no matter how many colors you choose to include in your design, it will not increase the cost of your order.
  • Will my design cover the entire flag or just a portion of it?
The design of your banner will cover most of the flag.
  • Are your banners fire resistant?
Though highly resistant to heat, when polyester comes in contact with flames it will melt and burn. We caution against placing the banner near an open flame or sparks.
  • Do I have to use one of your templates for my banner?
Yes, if using your own design, you must use our templates. You can download the templates from our website (located on each product page) or you can have one of our designers design your flag banner for you.
  • How do I best care for my banner?
Caring for your feather banner requires little effort as long as you properly store the banner when not in use. Though the flagpole and banner are both durable, we strongly recommend storing it indoors during heavy wind storms to protect it from being damaged. You can clean the banner with a damp cloth and some water to help remove any dirt or other build up. These banners are also machine washable on a low cycle using cold water. If you do decide to machine wash your flag, make sure to only air dry the banner. Do not place it in a tumble dryer. If you display your banner outdoors, it is best that you bring it inside when not in use (like after store hours). Protecting it from rubbing against an abrasive surface is also important in caring for your banner. Making sure that you do not display it in inclement weather or very windy conditions will add longevity to its lifespan. Extreme weather or high winds can permanently damage your feather banner. We recommend you take it down if this type of weather is imminent. If you decide to store the banner for an extended period of time, we suggest keeping it in a protective case and off of the ground to avoid accidental damage.
  • What payment methods are accepted?
At this time we accept Credit Cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay. We do not accept checks of any kind.
  • How do I track my order?
Once your order is shipping out, our system will send you an email notification with the tracking information. When shipped out with UPS the package is usually picked up after 5pm(central time). Even though you receive a tracking number early, tracking progress will not be available until the package is scanned by the carrier. If you have more than one tracking number the system will sometimes only give you the main tracking number. With the main tracking number you are able to see if multiple packages are included and will be able to track them (see visuals below).
  • How long does production take?
Production times vary but can be from 8 to 14 business days and then it ships (please check our main website pages for real time production times). To keep production running as smoothly as possible we send production orders every other day.
